Recent Creations!

Well, once again, I am way behind in putting up pictures of things I have created lately.  However, Blogger has changed the way it uploads pictures.  It is much faster, so this will be much easier from now on.  Hope you like the pictures!

I am way behind!  Here are some pictures of the newest bags I have made over the last few months... hope you like them!

This first one is a fun Fairy Backpack for my niece!  She loved it!

This is an awesome pattern I found on the internet... I used some of Amy Butler's home dec weight fabric, and I love it!  This one was for ME!  :)

This is the backpack I made for my nephew!  He really liked all the dinosaurs!

This bag and style has been very popular!  I love the fun fall floral prints.  I think I need one of these, too!

Another fall bag...

And one more fall bag...

Yikes, it has been a long time since I have posted here... My family and I recently lost my Father to a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.  I am finally beginning to get the sewing bug again and will post some pictures of recent creations, soon!

In loving memory of my Dad, here is a picture of him.

A new pattern!

This is a new pattern I just tried out...it is a little bigger, yet not huge.  Love this fabric.

I created my own pattern!

This was such fun!  I created a pattern for a slim cross body bag after looking at one a friend had.  It is awesome to begin to see how the patterns come together after making so many bags.  Here are some of the pictures of the finished product.  I think I am going to try to write up a pdf pattern for it and put the pattern on my Etsy site.  It was so exciting when the bag actually turned out in the end!

I named the bag, The JB bag after the person it was designed for.
This is a view of the front of the bag.

Here is a close up of the front.  It has a big zipper pocket with decorative stitching on the outside of the pocket.

This is a close up of the strap.  It is attached on the back side of the bag to help it hang close to the body.

Here is the front zip...

And the fabric inside the front zip pocket...

This is the view of the back.  The back pocket is not a zip, but deep enough that things will not fall out.

This is a close up of the way that the strap is attached.

This is the inside of the back pocket.

Here is the inside of the bag.  I love love love the Amy Butler fabric I used for the lining!

The inside also has a zipper pocket...

I am so thankful that it all came together as planned in the end!
