I created my own pattern!
This was such fun! I created a pattern for a slim cross body bag after looking at one a friend had. It is awesome to begin to see how the patterns come together after making so many bags. Here are some of the pictures of the finished product. I think I am going to try to write up a pdf pattern for it and put the pattern on my Etsy site. It was so exciting when the bag actually turned out in the end!
I named the bag, The JB bag after the person it was designed for.
This is a view of the front of the bag.
Here is a close up of the front. It has a big zipper pocket with decorative stitching on the outside of the pocket.
This is a close up of the strap. It is attached on the back side of the bag to help it hang close to the body.
Here is the front zip...
And the fabric inside the front zip pocket...
This is the view of the back. The back pocket is not a zip, but deep enough that things will not fall out.
This is a close up of the way that the strap is attached.
This is the inside of the back pocket.
Here is the inside of the bag. I love love love the Amy Butler fabric I used for the lining!
The inside also has a zipper pocket...
I am so thankful that it all came together as planned in the end!

Recovering my Barstools!
Look what I did! I used some of the upholstery fabric that my husband gave me and recovered my kitchen bar stools! Yea! They were really icky and needed a facelift. It really wasn't that hard. I just put the new fabric right over the old and stapled it on. The hardest part was pulling the fabric tight and holding it while stapling!
Craft Fair in Fargo!
My sister and I decided to try our hand at a small craft fair in Fargo the end of April... We had two tables and decorated them with our crafts.
I brought quite a few bags... hoping maybe I would sell a few.
I really like all the little pouches...they are perfect little gifts for anyone on your list. Who doesn't need a little zippered pouch for odds and ends?
I got really lucky... there were hooks on the wall right by my table... I used them to help display my bags. I was even able to tape up my flower decorations to help make the booth look neat!
My sister sews baby things! She had so many cute things. Burp cloths, blankets for swaddling, sensory blankets, bibs... it was great!
This is my sister... she is due to have her third baby in September!
Here I am standing by all my crazy bags...
My sister did great... she sold so many things! I only sold two bags :( Maybe next time! It was fun anyway!
Wow, it's been a long time!
Well, it has been a long time since I have written! So many things have been going on! First, here is a bunch of cool new fabric that I just got! I can't wait to start sewing things with it!
